Abstract

Despite the rising significance of green finance and sustainable performance in the field of Sustainable
development goals, it highlighted important areas of research like green banking practices.
Design:
This study examined the “impact of GBP on the sustainable performance of Banks through the mediating
role of Green finance in a developing country Pakistan”.
Methodology:
The population of this research study are commercial banks of Pakistan. The data of this study collected
from both government and private banks of four different cities of Pakistan. The research was quantitative
research and paper based Questionnaire used to gather data.
Findings:
The research revealed that GBP (bank employee-related practices, bank operation-related practices, bank
customer-related practices, and bank policy-related practices) had a favourable and substantial influence

on the long-term performance of Pakistani banks. Furthermore, this study shows that green financing
positively and significantly influences the association GBP and bank sustainability. . Furthermore, the
normal operations of banks are based on green banking standards, which boost the banks' development
and sustainability
Originality of work:
This research study has implications for the bank managers that must be focus on the GBP. This would
help banks to effectively implement green financing practices to promote environmental sustainability.
